Chickpea + Asparagus Pasta

img_0453

I found a recipe for chickpea and spinach pasta on the food network site, but I decided to go with a different green. This super simple recipe can be modified in many ways–all I really did was saute the asparagus and a can of crushed red tomatoes, add some oregano and whatever spices you want to add, then mix the cooked pasta and a can of drained chickpeas into the mix. Top it off with some parmesan and a balsamic vinaigrette, and you have a colorful easy (& tasty) meal!
