E-Z Grilled Fish Tacos

IMG_1808

The first inyogrilling experience!

Fish Stuff:
1 1/2 lb Tilapia
Lime Juice
Olive Oil
Dill
Salt & Pepper

Taco Stuff:
Shredded Cabbage (T. Joe’s!)
Sour Cream (Mix in some lime if you want)
Fresh Grated Cheese
Salsa
Avocado
Corn Tortillas

My first grilling experience was aided by 10-minute heat charcoals and a man (Xander).
TO GRILL: Prepare about a half hour ahead of cook time for coals to reach maximum heat (the 10-minute thing is a lie), and make sure the grill is clean. After letting the thawed fish marinate in a mix of lime juice, olive oil and dill (about 20 minutes), I sprinkled on some salt & pepper, and placed them on the grill. Because the fish breaks in a certain way, you want to make sure it will break against the grain of the grill, and the pieces won’t fall in. During the 15-20 minutes it takes to grill, prepare the taco stuffing. The corn tortillas taste best after a few minutes in the oven on BROIL. There are obviously a lot of variations to how you want your fish tacos to turn out, but I like these because they are healthy and simple!
